Awesome Saturday Lunch

It must be root veggie season… our daikon is ripe, and Helen gave us some beautiful carrots from her garden. We enjoyed a tasty lunch of swordfish, rice pilaf, carrots, and daikon greens. Lunch always tastes better with homegrown veggies!

Texas Brisket

Denny and Olivia brought back real Texas beef brisket (smoked by their son-in-law) to share. We enjoyed ours with rice pilaf and a side of sautéed daikon from the garden.

National Deviled Egg Day is a good excuse to enjoy some of these tasty treats. Cooking the eggs in the Instant Pot makes them super easy to peel.
Instant Pot hard boiled eggs:
1/2 C water in pot, eggs on rack.
6 min LP, 6 min NR, cool in cold water.
